James Weeks is a babalawo, or priest, in the Ifa spiritual tradition of West Africa and an internationally known spiritual advisor and finance mentor. He has spoken at Harvard University, and has been featured in the Associated Press and Market Watch. James is the producer of the upcoming documentary film Across the King’s River. Joel McPhee
Joel McPhee is a financial services executive bringing over 25 years of experience in managing large teams in the areas of Strategy, Risk and Compliance, and Organizational Transformation. Joel is also an Attorney and a Published Author of Mastering Strategic Risk: A Framework for Leading and Transforming Organizations (John Wiley and Sons, April 2014). A native of the Bahamas Joel is the proud father of two wonderful daughters.
Dr. Hadiya Sewer
Dr. Hadiya Sewer, a philosopher, spiritual practitioner, and community organizer in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, holds a B.A. in Sociology from Spelman College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Africana Studies from Brown University. Specializing in environmental justice and Africana decolonial theories, Dr. Sewer recently completed a Research Fellowship at Stanford University. As President of St.JanCo, a land rights nonprofit, and a founding member of the Virgin Islands Studies Collective, Sewer actively engages in cultural heritage preservation. Additionally, as a business consultant, they assist individuals and corporate brands in developing their brand philosophy and shaping their legacy.
Alicia Elias-Massresha
Alicia is a Construction Manager at a Fortune 500 Infrastructure Consulting firm. Throughout her career she held various positions starting her career as a Survey Technician then moving on to Civil Engineer, Construction Inspector and Chief Construction Inspector.
She has diverse experience in her field having worked in different sectors; Transportation, Utilities, Vertical/Horizontal Construction, Marine Construction and Sustainability.
Based in New York City and holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering and sustainable E\engineering respectively.
Alicia’s interests include sustainability – sustainable construction practices using biomimicry in design and marine construction. In her free time sheenjoys reading, travelling – exploring lands and cultures and socializing with friends and family
